A: It is what it is.  A lot of time can be wasted worrying about issues that are out of your control, or mistakes made.  Learn and move on.

A Day in the Life

6:00am - At work, safety meeting with crews.  Discuss objectives for the day.
7:00am - Check emails, make lists for my own objectives
8:00am - Anything from compiling submittals, reviewing drawings – work on objectives
9:00am - Walk the site – discuss progress and any issues with workers
10:00am - Make sure everyone on the mainland that I need to talk to has been contacted since their day is coming to an end.
11:00am - Discuss potential cost and buyout status with my project manager.
12:00pm - Lunch
1:00pm - Update spreadsheets, email
2:00pm - Email, follow up with suppliers, subcontractors for material and work status
3:00pm - Walk site; verify work objectives have been completed.
4:00pm - Update schedule, look at upcoming work and materials needed
5:00pm - Head home
