This design-bid-build project involves two main elements: a. Replace Hydrant Fuel System; Demolish existing pumphouse and associated piping, and existing hydrant outlet pits and associated lateral control pits. Abandon fuel piping under airfield and fill with lean concrete. Construct a 348m2 pumphouse that contains five (5) 600 gpm pumps. Provide twelve hydrant outlet pits with a design capacity of 600 gpm, and associated fuel piping; one 500KW emergency generator to be housed in a separate building; cathodic protection; fire detection; water and power utility service. b. Repair/Inspect Tank #1 & Tank #2 ; Drain and clean tank. Lift tank to install new reinforced concrete ring wall, sand cushion, secondary containment liner, leak detection and cathodic protection systems, and remove existing oil sand cushion. Perform tank repairs based on existing inspection report. Other incidental work includes: install wear plates under floating pan legs; perform weld tests IAW API; prep and paint repaired areas; inspect double wiper seal on floating pan and interior painting; install seal between tank floor plates and concrete wing wall; install high-high and low level alarms; add service platform; replace existing hand operated fuel recovery system with electrically operated pump; perform complete API inspection; install dike containment; restore stairways in fuel tank area.
